Baby Banz Earmuffs Review

A few weeks back my husband and I were looking for something to do with our then 4 month old son, Jack.  I discovered a parade was happening a few blocks away, and thought that would be a really fun thing to bring him to.  Then we got to thinking.  Fire engines, lots of screaming kids, horns honking, balloons popping.  And we realized, that's a lot of loud noises for such a little guy.  We've already noticed that Jack didn't take well to vacuums, and even loud people.  So we decided not to go.

I started thinking about the summer and all the fun events I wanted to experience with my son.  How could we get him involved in all the fun, while still making him feel comfortable, and protecting those little ears.  I started researching online and found that "noise induced hearing loss" caused by exposure to excessively loud sounds, is irreversible, and can not be medically or surgically corrected.  I came across a company called Banz.

Originating in Australia, Baby Banz was founded by a dad in search of sun protection for his infant.  From baby sunglasses, to swimwear, and earmuffs, Banz is the leader in all things protection.  I fell in love with their adorable line of Baby Earmuffs.  They come in a ton of super cute colors, and looked really comfortable.  I thought these could be the perfect solution for Jack!

When they came in the mail, I was surprised by how little and light they were.  They literally fit in the palm of my hand.  Jack is used to wearing sun hats, but he's never worn earmuffs, so I was a little hesitant to put them on.  To my surprise, he loved them!  In fact, it didn't even seem like he noticed they were on his head.  They were so light, with nice padding on the strap, and the best part is that they are adjustable.  In fact, they can be worn up to age 2!  I can't think of another product we use that will last him that long!

Jacks first 4th of July fireworks went off without a hitch, Mama can now vaccum whenever I want, and lots more fun summer activities are now possible thanks to Baby Banz!!

Zimmerman Shoes

Jack & I were delighted to receive a pair of adorable boots from Zimmerman Shoes. When I opened the white gift box, I tore back the crisp tissue paper to discover the most beautiful suede booties.  Super soft, and beautifully crafted, the dark blue color perfectly matched Jacks eyes, and made my heart melt. 

These boots are extra special because not only are they his first pair of shoes, but the company is based in our hometown of Lancaster, PA.  Once my precious boy outgrows these shoes they will be displayed on a shelf in his nursery, for us to enjoy for years to come.

Down Home Amy is an adorable Etsy shop that specializes in reusable, organic, baby goods and housewares.  Owner Amy custom designs and draws all the little creatures featured on her bibs, and snack pouches.  Her whimsical creations are sure to put a smile on your little ones faces! I picked up this organic owl bib for my little guy on the way, and some cloth baby wipes for our cloth diapering endeavor.  But how cute are her little baby crowns?  I might have to check those out next!!
